Terms & Conditions

Payment Policy All services provided by Voyage Six Travels (VST) are subject to the following terms and conditions.
Definitions: “Services” refers to any one or more of the following: (a) Transport (b) Accommodation (c) Other tourist services.

1. Your Booking
Booking details must be completed personally by the traveler or by one person on behalf of a group, who is deemed authorized by individual members (the “Client”) of the group to contract on their behalf.
VST will confirm the arrangements requested by the Client through web bookings as soon as reasonably possible upon receipt of the booking details. The contract comes into existence when a confirmation invoice has been issued by VST for services rendered by VST or on behalf of relevant suppliers. Some services may not be confirmed immediately (e.g., accommodations on request). The legal contract for such services is formed once VST confirms those services are booked.
The Client is responsible for checking the details of the confirmation invoice and should notify VST immediately of any discrepancies.

2. Your Contract
This contract and all services provided by VST are governed exclusively by Sri Lankan law.
The Client acknowledges that although the contract is with VST, all services (e.g., hotel accommodations, tours, and transport) are provided by third-party service providers. VST acts only as an agent and cannot be held liable for third-party services. While VST takes every precaution to ensure these services are safe, the company does not assume responsibility for any personal injury, property damage, or other loss caused by:

  1. Wrongful, negligent, or unauthorized acts or omissions of suppliers or their employees.
  2. Any defects in or failure of vehicles, equipment, or instruments used by these suppliers.
  3. Any acts of other parties beyond the control of VST.
  4. The terms and conditions of the relevant suppliers will be available on the booking voucher or upon request.

3. Payment
Unless otherwise specified by VST in writing, full payment for all services must be made 2 weeks prior to arrival. VST is under no obligation to provide any services until full payment is received. Failure to make payment within the specified period may result in cancellation and applicable charges. Please note that we require 50% of the payment on confirmation and the balance 2 weeks prior to arrival, or the full payment can be settled on confirmation.
Notes:

  • Initial Payment is required at the time of booking.
  • The Client must pay all bank charges in the case of a bank transfer.
  • There will be no additional postage fees, booking fees or other hidden charges.
  • Exchange rates are based on the Central Bank of Sri Lanka at the time of booking and are not subject to change.

4. Cost of the Tour
Service costs may increase after confirmation due to supplier cost increases (e.g., transportation, fuel surcharges, taxes, or exchange rate fluctuations). VST will endeavor to limit price changes and will notify the Client in advance of any necessary adjustments. All increases must be paid by the Client as per the specified payment deadlines. Please note we require 50% of the payment on confirmation and the balance 2 weeks prior to arrival or the full payment can be settled on confirmation.

5. Amendments by the Client
If the Client wishes to modify their booking (e.g., change travel dates or services), a request must be made online or via email. VST will try to accommodate changes at the lowest cost, but the Client is responsible for any additional costs incurred.
No credits or refunds will be issued for unused services due to the Client’s failure to use confirmed arrangements.

6. Cancellation by the Client
Clients may cancel their booking at any time via online channels or email. Cancellation charges will apply as per the policy communicated at the time of confirmation.

7. Changes by VST
VST reserves the right to make changes to bookings when necessary (e.g., flight schedules, hotel availability). Clients will be informed at the earliest opportunity. VST is not responsible for additional costs incurred due to circumstances beyond its control.

8. Complaints & Dispute Resolution
If the Client encounters issues with any service, the relevant supplier should be informed immediately (or within 24 hours). If unresolved, the complaint must be submitted in writing to VST within 48 hours, including the original booking reference.

9. Liability
VST’s liability is limited to the total cost of the affected service, excluding insurance and amendment charges.

10. Insurance
Every holidaymaker, without exception, must possess valid travel insurance, and details of the policy must be stated before travel. Individuals must ensure that this travel insurance offers acceptable cover for the type of holiday undertaken.

11. Medical Requirements
You are responsible for assessing whether a tour is suitable for you. You should consult your physician to confirm your fitness for travel and participation in any planned activities. You should seek your physician’s advice on vaccinations and medical precautions. VST does not provide medical advice. It is your responsibility to assess the risks and requirements of each aspect of the tour based on your unique circumstances, limitations, fitness level, and medical requirements.

12. Age & Fitness
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, the following requirements apply: a) Any persons with pre-existing medical conditions must inform VST. If necessary, a medical certificate may be required. b) All persons aged 70 or over must provide a letter from a doctor confirming they are fit for travel. c) Pregnancy is considered a medical condition and must be disclosed at the time of booking. The Tour Operator may refuse to carry women over 24 weeks pregnant.

13. Client Responsibilities
The Client is responsible for:

  • Any medical expenses due to illness or accidents and must obtain suitable travel insurance.
  • Ensuring all visa, immigration, and health requirements are met.
  • Their own behavior and will be liable for damages caused to VST or suppliers due to negligence.

14. Personal Loss, Injury and Illness
Personal Loss, Injury and Illness Should you, or any member of your group, suffer loss (such as baggage or valuables), serious illness, personal injury or death during your holiday, we, or our stated representatives, will provide sympathetic advice and guidance at our/their discretion. This must be carried out in conjunction with your personal travel insurance policy.
